Alvar Table – Joseph Dirand
Collection
Wood & Stone
The ALVAR Table showcases another beautiful collaboration between Joseph Dirand and Ateliers Saint-Jacques.
Joseph Dirand is a French interior designer who draws the majority of his inspirations from minimalism and modernist architecture. It is thus, no surprise that this table is actually a tribute to to Alvar Aalto, a Finnish architect and designer of the first part of the XXth Century. Dirand’s work usually lies between sobriety, minimalism, efficiency and elegance. This collection is an homage to modernist architects who continuously inspired Joseph Dirand, such as Carlo Scarpa, Perre Jeanerret and Le Corbusier, among others.
To highlight his creations, Joseph Dirand works closely with the finest craftsmen, to allow the use of a wide range of high quality materials, from marble, copper, stone, wood and bronze.
His collaborations with Ateliers Saint-Jacques allow him to pursue this quest for perfection.
This table exists in: oiled smoked eucalyptus, american walnut, travertin stone and tainted oak.
