Assisted by a team of nine people, in his studio located in the centre of Paris, the glassmaker Bernard Pictet has been working with decorators and architects all over the world since 1981.

An exceptional craftsman

Bernard Pictet never ceases to explore the surprising potential of glass. He has been working as a glassmaker for nearly forty years. After studying law, he took over Jean-Gabriel Druet’s workshop with whom, for two years, he learned this capricious subject, which followed very strict manufacturing rules. “Respect these rules and it will be the freest material available because it can take on any form, appearance or function. Get out of these rules a little bit… it will break!”

A talent that is expressed all over the world

Bernard Pictet is called upon all over the world for luxury projects in collaboration with great interior designers. Luxury residences, yachts, head offices, hotels, luxury houses… Hermès, Chanel, Dior, Guerlain, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Chaumet, Goyard, Mikimoto, but also the Taschen bookshop in Los Angeles, designed by the architect Philippe Starck, are among its references.

Unique furniture

He has also created exceptional furniture: a coffee table in glass, ebony and mica, bookcases in marsh oak and glass, as well as a folding screen in glass, lacquer (Mireille Herbst) and tulipwood with the cabinetmaker Ludwig Vogelgesang.

International trade fairs

He regularly participates in exhibitions such as “Art de vivre à la française” in Moscow and New York, or “Decorex” in London. But also art and design fairs such as “Révélations” at the Grand Palais and AD Intérieurs in Paris.

He exhibited, with four other craftsmen – Fochesato, Jouffre, Ludwig & Dominique and the Manufacture de tapis de Bourgogne – all Living Heritage Companies, at the last Monaco Yacht Show.
